Today I mowed and trimmed the lawn. I also went to Stars Ferry
and bought some oak trim so I can fix the stairway where the walls are
not lined up correctly. The oak was about $40. I stained it
with the Pickled Oak stain so it will look like the stair rail. I then started on the tile backsplash in the kitchen. I started at 3:00 pm. It is Shaw floors brand, the type is called Trenton 12, color 700. It was almost $400 from Barger Floors. I stared on the sink side. I found that the sink is not perfectly centered with the cabinet for some reason, so I centered the tile with the cabinet instead of the sink itself. After I got the sink side done, I did the other side of the kitchen. I finished at 9:00 p.m. I have 9 pieces of tile left over. Yesterday, I got up at 8:00 am and put the 6 doors together (panels installed, hinges and knobs) and then mounted them to the cabinets. Lexi came over and helped me install the subwoofer cable in the attic. I go the theater running except for the satellite receiver is dead. They are sending me a new one next week. The pictures of the theater at the bottom show the completed work with the exception of needing another section of rope light for the right side of the room. |
