Monday morning I did a majority of the forming of the patio in the
back by the mound. It is 24 feet in diameter with a 4 foot
diameter opening in the center. I used some stuff that is
12"x16'x1/2" thick masonite stuff that I cut into 4 inch strips and bent
it around the circle. Tuesday was the 4th of July so no work. Wednesday it rained, so no work. Thursday I ordered pea gravel and back filled in the patio and Amy helped. Today I finished things up and got all the rebar finished. We poured 6 yards of concrete at 4pm. It didn't turn out to bad, but it cured pretty dang fast. We had to use the forklift to get me out of the center and to help broom the surface. About 9pm I took my shop broom and scrubbed the surface to smooth it up a bit and then used the leaf blower to clean it off. |
