I went to Home Depot today....  To get more stuff...  I returned $119 worth of circuit breakers that were single pole instead of double pole.

I bought a light for above the stairs just like the chandelier for the entry way, 4 more angular wall sconces, three more of the track light doohickies, a roll of ridge vent, double joist hangers, some aluminum pipe for my dryer vent and a dryer vent kit that is to short, more double gang boxes, some elbows for the ducting for my projector cords, 30 amp breakers and a 50 amp breaker.  There goes another $426.96 minus $119 credit on the stuff returned.

On the way home, Chuck decided to go to Cauldrin Lyne <sp>.  We got stuck in the sand.  A truck pulled us out.  What fun.

We went to the house and dumped off the stuff I needed there, then came home and changed and went out to work.  I went to talk to John, then he and his son Aaron came over to measure doors.  We talked house junk for a while then Shane Waters came over and visted and gave him a tour, then Kade Carter and his wife came over for a tour...  Not much work got done for a while.

When I started working, I worked in the home theater running another conduit for the center chanel I forgot about.

I ran wire to the rest of the sconces in the game room, hung more cans and thought they looked out of place so will wait till tomorrow for Matt to give me his opinion.

I put more conduit into the crawlspace to connect to the West computer room wall

Delno called concerning brick.  If we can get brick ordered tomorrow he will be able to start work when it gets in.

Then, came home and sat in front of the computer for 4 hours getting ready to pay the last few weeks bills and then trying to figure out how bad over budget I am right now.

Good news is, not as bad as I thought.

  • Electrical hookup:  $2000 under
  • Excavation:  $225 under
  • Lumber:  $1200 over so far
  • Trusses:  $2700 over
  • Foundation:  $300 over
  • Windows:  $300 over
  • Well:  $500 over
  • Appliances:  $10 over
  • Roofing:  About $800 over
  • Plumbing:  $1000 over

As of turning in my bills in the morning, I am up to $71,000.  So, I'm almost half way through my budget, which means I am nearly half done :)
