Lets see, where to begin. This morning I went to Franklin to get a router bit. After that I went to the house and unloaded the tools and Matt came out after taking the girls to moms. I got the wrong router bit so Matt ran back to Franklin to get the right one he needed to finish the arches. United Electric came out and finished my hookup. I now have electricity!!! The shingles also came as well. They are loaded on the roof. My doors showed up as well. Pictures show them. The front door didn't come in, so they put in a temporary so I can at least get the frame installed. The glass in the side light is gorgeous. I can't wait for the real front door to show up. We continued working on the arches and then gave up when a few small problems arose. Since the windows and doors were going to be there in a while, we figured we would start work on the house wrap. We got the side of the garage on then he had to go to lunch with Kelly. The roofers showed up so we went and got the forklift. They started on the shingles and got a bit done today. They left at 6ish. Matt and continued with the house wrap after lunch, and then a few minutes later the windows showed up. We started installing them. We put the one in the back bedroom first, then the sliding door in the dining room, then the one in the family room. We then continued putting up house wrap and finished the house. We then put the window in the master bedroom and then the arch, along with the gable vent. After that, dad got there so we put in the big front window in the living room. Matt had to go to work so dad and I hooked up two temporary circuits in the electrical panel. We then put the three windows in the garage and then installed the door from the garage to outside. We ran into Ace Hardware to get some silicon and temporary door locks. We house wrapped the arch area of the living room We then temporarily installed the door from the garage into the house. Matt showed up so we put the arch in the living room and the two gable vents in that area. We taped up some of the windows and then started installing the front door. About then, it was dark, so we cleaned up a bit and came home. We will get the rest of the windows installed tomorrow so we can lock the house up from now on. |
