Monday 6-7-04

This morning I went to United Electric to get my rough in electrical permit.  They said they would be out sometime today to get my service installed.

After that, I picked up some flashing from the shop for the brick and then got out to the house.  I started laying out my electrical boxes so I would know if I had enough.  Then the well people came to get their pipe trailer.  Someone had a well go dry so they are going to go take care of them and then come back.

I also called Randy and asked him to bring me an electrical panel.  A while later he brought it over and started installing it.  Tom Sayles also showed up and said they had to finish the house in Oakley and might be back later today.

About this time it was time for lunch so I left and got lunch.

When I got back, Matthew was ready to work.  We ripped some OSB to wrap the windows and doors with.  We started working on them, and then I started screwing the boxes to the wall while Matt continued working on the door\window wrap.

Matt took a bit to take Alexy back home since she was getting grumpy.  During this time United Electric came out and started their work. 

Grandpa called and said my windows will be here tomorrow, and all my exterior doors except for my front door slab.

I went into Columbia Electric to get my light canisters and a few other misc items.

When I got back, I started putting my up light switch boxes where they needed to go.

A while later, it was time for our hot dog cookout.  Dad started a fire with scrap wood and we spent some time cooking hot dogs, hamburgers, marshmallows.
