Today I got up at 7:30am after not going to bed until 2:30am. Long story that I might tell later...

Anyway, I checked the shelf and it was all nice and dry so I went in and put the brackets on the wall and then on the shelf and hung it up.

Then, I went out to the garage to do some serious wood working!

I cut out 4 pieces of particle board 18 1/2 by 18 1/2 and screwed two of them together to form the table tops. I then took some 1x2 oak and cut them into pieces to wrap around the top. They were cut at 45 degree angles. After having them all rough cut, I started on one table top and wrapped the oak around all 4 sides. It took quite a while to get everything perfect.

After that, I started on the legs of one table since I only had 4 legs. I cut some 1x3 oak 14 inches long to go between the legs and buscuit jointed the legs and the side pieces. I glued them all up and then attached them to the table top with some 3 inch screws.

Building the two tops and putting one table together took about 5 to 6 hours to make. Lots of work for such small tables.

After I got done with that, I took a shower and got cleaned up so I could go to our end of the year faculty party. Lee Van Houten is retiring this year so we had the party at his house so all his family could attend. It was a good party.
