Today I was at the property at about 7:45AM.
The concrete looked pretty good considering we worked on it so late last night. After unloading the stuff from the truck and cleaning it out somewhat, I ran into K&R to get a concrete blade but they were out. I went to Franklin to get some bolts and a 2x6 pressure treated board since one of mine was warped to bad to use. Matt and I started building the East walls of the garage and got them finished. We then started working on the front of the garage. Talk about a pain. The stupid H2B straps suck. The straps we used on Matts house worked much nicer. We also build the walls separating the garage from the house, and also got the wall with the door going into the utility room built. We then realized that the front of the garage was screwed up. It was an inch out of level. Somehow, when we built it, it moved and we didn't know it. We will fix it on Monday. We didn't want to fix that, so we build the double wall in the family room. As you can see in the pictures, we built a really fancy enclosure to put a large screen tv, or an entertainment center. We still need to build some small jut outs in the corners and we will finish that on Monday. We cleaned up and left at about 9:00 tonight. |
