Friday 5-7-04
| Today I called John and ordered 6.5 yards of concrete for
4:30. I left work at 2:30 so I could get the center form pulled and
get the form moved to the East garage entrance. The concrete was late and didn't get there until 5:00. Dad, Matt and I got it poured, and Chad Jones came a as we were finishing. After we got it poured, we started building the West wall of the garage. Chad came back and ran the machine, but it was still too wet, so he went back home and we continued with the wall. On the wall, we used the forklift to lift it up and drop it over the bolt. Chad came back at about 9:30 and smoothed it again, but it still wasn't smooth so he left and came back about 11:00 and we quit and went home at 11:40. Right now it is 12:07 as I type this. Tomorrow we will finish the garage and hopefully get all the rest of the house walls finished. The first 4 pictures show how yesterdays concrete turned out. |
