Sunday 02-13-05

Yesterday Chuck and I went to the gun show in Twin Falls and went to Sizzler for lunch.  We went to Best Buy to complain about my receiver and subwoofer not being here yet.

I was more pissed when I saw my receiver sitting on the shelf.  I grabbed a guy and asked what was up, he said all the stuff was here and he would go get it.  After getting it, we headed home.

I tended Lex and Mac while Matt\Kelly went to the Valentines Day party at the church.  After that, I headed upstairs and finished hooking up the stuff.

Wow, it is nice :)

After finishing the temporary hookup, I put in a couple DVD's and watched a few scenes.  Saving Private Ryan looks and sounds SWEET.

After testing things out, I fine tuned the receiver.  I had to tell it how far away all the speakers were, then ran the tone test and used the decibel meter and adjusted the volume for all the speakers so they were all balanced.

Today, I put in the rope light track and put the receiver on the stand after removing the wheels on the bottom and removing the back so the receiver would fit on the middle shelf and the center channel would fit on top without being in front of the screen.

We then watched Deep Impact.  Not the best movie to test things out, but good enough to make it until the official grand opening of the theater. 

Before the Grand Opening, I want to get the projector mounted on the ceiling, get the base molding installed and the door painted.  I was hoping to have it next weekend, but it will probably be the next weekend.
