It snowed today for the first time. I packed up the books on my book shelf and then went to town. Long story but I went to town to get stuff at Wal-Mart and the truck was bad on the road so I came home and got my car, it was bad, so I went to the house and dad was there working on the lights. I took the van to Wal-Mart and locked the correct keys in the van so Chuck had to come get me. I bought two vacuums (downstairs and upstairs), a rug for the family room, speaker mounts for the ceiling, and shower rods and a shower curtain. Walked out almost $400 poorer. I got to the house and the carpet guy was busy working. I put the rug down and ran a sub woofer cable from behind the TV under the house and up into the back corner of the room, and also put the vacuums together. We went to lunch and I stopped at the apartment and loaded up the books and unloaded the safe and put it all in the truck. I got to the house and unloaded the stuff and then started drilling a hole in the concrete to run the phone line in. I had to borrow a hammer drill from Randy to get through the wall. I got it hooked up and connected it into the patch panel. I now have 12 jacks to use for phones. I then wired the outside speakers into the speaker selector box. Matt got home and we went and picked up my safe. We used the forklift to lift it into the truck and then out of the truck. After that, Matt packed the truck with his stuff while I did some more speaker stuff and then went and unloaded it and picked up my book shelves. Dad finished hooking up the garage door openers but they need some adjustments. I put up the surround sound speakers in the family room, put the antenna in the family room to make sure the TV and stuff was going to work right I was about to go home but decided to stay and run some computer wire. I got 4 runs made from the computer room down to the patch panel. I didn't get them connected, but the lines are run. I also hung all the wiring under the house from wire ties screwed to the joists. |
