After work I paid the power bill, faxed the bills to the bank and then went to Franklin and bought some melamine board and two sheets of masonite.

Duno why, but they didn't work on the carpet today.

Dad came for the inspection and said I had to enable the smoke alarms, and cover the attic ports in the garage and he will give me a temp permit.

I worked on the mirror surround for the entry way.  I used 1x3 oak with rosettes on the corners.  I used the biscuit jointer to cut everything correctly, and routered the notch for the mirror to sit in and then rounded the edge on the inside.  I will leave the outside edges square.
