Today after work I stopped at Franklin and got some small
nails and a nail set and the rest of my arched molding. I got to the house and we traced and cut out the replacement piece of mdf. I also got my finger smashed flat real good as well. Dad started putting the poly-coat on the spindles and while he did that Matt started working on the attic access port upstairs. I sanded the oak on the table top in the game room while he did that and also primed the back side of the shelves for the family room. After that we put the island in the kitchen in permanently. We cut two pieces of plywood and screwed them together and screwed them to the floor in the joints in the tile. We also drilled a hole and ran a power wire down into the crawl space. We the cabinet down through the sides into the plywood and then put the top on. We also screwed down the rest of the counter tops on the West wall. I started putting the first coat of paint on the shelves since the primer was dry and Matt started staining the oak on the side of the stairs and then the oak on the table in the game room. Dad then started poly-coating the window sills in the living room, both in the master bedroom and the master bathroom. Matt and dad left about 9, and I saw that the shelves were dry already so I stuck around and put a second coat of paint on them. |
