Monday 9-27-04

I left work as soon as school got out I went to K&R and rented a concrete broom to broom the concrete with.  I got to the house and dad was there getting the forklift setup.  Matt got there as well.

We started adjusting the forms and finishing them up.  Mike Dudley and Cade showed up to help.  We jerry rigged a way to screed things and used a I-Joist to screed with.

The concrete was late and didn't show up until about 6pm.

We poured the East half first and then the West half.  Dad and I waded through wet concrete to shovel and screed things and to tamp it in.

I then poured part of the sidewalk on the side of the garage which I forgot to take pictures of.  While I worked on this they kept working on the patio.  Dad mag floated the patio a couple times.

I then got on the end of the forklift to clean up the edges along the house.  As you can see I had lots of fun with this part.

Matt edged things and then we finished up by cleaning the equipment.  Mom brought us dinner.

Lex and Maci helped as well.
