Friday 7-30-04

I primed the stair way walls and then painted them.  I had to jerry rig the ladders so I could reach.

I then put up one of the fancy light surrounds, but as I had it up there with glue and went to get the drill it fell and broke, so much for $30.  I painted another one and put some glue on it and pre-set the screws and put it up.  I then hung the chandelier and ran some power to it to see if it worked.  It did, and looks much nicer than the dark pictures show.

I then hooked up the switches to the game room lights.  I had the cans and sconce switches connected, but couldn't get the ceiling fan to work.  After about 45 minutes of double checking everything and taking down the fan, I saw that the forward\reverse switch was in-between settings.  #$@$@#)$(@#$*)@

More swear words followed when dealing with the 3 way switch for the ceiling fan lights.  Dad and I simply couldn't get the #$@)(@#$ thing to work right. 

After coming home and looking on the net, I think I have it figured out.  I'll try Monday to fix it.

Tomorrow I'm going to Boise to help Cori move, so no house work or update for tomorrow.
