This morning I got out to the house around 8:30. I
then went to Franklin and picked up 19 sheets of 7/16 osb for the second
layer of flooring upstairs. I also picked up a bunch of casing and
fluted trim. When I got back, I unloaded it, and then went through the house and counted up all the inside and outside corners as well as where I would need rosettes. I then started putting the flooring down and then ran out of screws, so back to Franklin. I ran into Sherrie from work there. I ordered the above mentioned stuff and it will be here Thursday. I then worked on the flooring some more till my cordless saw fell off the tailgate and now won't turn on... I hope it is a loose wire. I then started painting the computer room (second coat of paint on the wall) and dad started putting in outlets. I then started painting the game room. Dad finished the outlets in the computer room and game room, and I put in the wall sconces in the game room. They look really nice when turned on. The sheet rockers only worked till lunch time and then had to go put trusses up for someone. The brick layers finished my brick today, and tomorrow they will acid wash what they finished today. I also got the bill... $16,300 for everything. It looks really nice. In non house news, I found Boots kittens. I nearly stepped on them. She had them hidden under the tarp over the extra CDX plywood in the back yard. She had two. As Matt and I were eating, she hauled one into the house and then went into the crawlspace. She put the kitten in a length of air conditioning duct work I have down there. I saved her the trouble and took the other kitten down for her. I guess I will leave them down there for the time being. |
