First off, no pictures from yesterday. Yesterday was
a short day. I got to the house and told Delno that we didn't want the
arch on the back like we planned. He said we would have to make the
pillars larger since he needed some overhang for the angle iron to support
the brick.
Because of this, I had to dig down to the foundation of two of the pillars so we could build it out with cinder blocks. Digging sucks, especially when it is hot outside. This took me pretty much most of the morning to do this crappy task. After that, I did some other stuff that I cann't remember what I did.... Then Matt and I worked on the soffit on the front of the garage till he had to go to work. After that, I went home and took a shower and went to Glenns to party the rest of the night since Joaquin was in town. We BS's from 5-8pm, then went and got 4 pizza's from Figaroes and then played computer games till I left at 10. I then went to the house and turned off the lights and locked up and went home. Today, I got out to the house and worked on the emergency lights on the West side of the house. I also ran the speaker wire to the two speakers in the back of the house. I had to cut off part of the bird cages so they could run the angle iron for the brick between them. They will be about 300 bricks short, but he will get some more tomorrow when he goes to Idaho Falls to get some cultured stone for his next job he has to do. Larry took me to look at a house to decide on the texture. I will texture the ceiling like Matts, but on the walls they will spray on the globs, but then knock it down so they are flat. After lunch I went to Home Depot and spent $1600 on paint and paint related stuff. I bought 40 gallons of primer, 20 gallons of white semi gloss for the ceilings, and 30 gallons of Cup of Cocoa for the walls and 2 gallons of eggshell black for the home theater ceiling. That's 92 gallons of paint, I hope it is enough. When I got back home, I unloaded the paint and helped matt for a bit, then cleaned up the outside of the house. |
