This morning I arrived at the house around 7:45. I
began working on the emergency lights in the front of the house. I had
to get into the attic to run a power lead from the front to the back of the
house. In the short time I was up there, I was drenched in sweat.
I also tried to run a power lead from the area by the front door over to the
one over by the livingroom\garage cubby hole, but there was no way to get it
through the attic so I will have to run it from clear around the back of the
house. I went to Ace Hardware to get some glue for the bull nose, and when I got back I hooked up the speaker in the front to make sure it worked. I also hooked up the motion detector on the West side of the house after they got it acid washed, and also hooked up my cans in the soffit. After that, it was hot outside so I went inside and watched the sheet rockers work in the living room and then we went to lunch. After lunch, I sat in my lawn chair and didn't do much else than take a nap. I had to get up from my nap for a few minutes to unload the pallet of tile flooring from Cliffs truck. Pictures of the tile are at the very bottom of this page. The very last picture accurately shows the color of the tile. Grandpa also called and said that the front of the house looks damn good :) The brick layers left, and they got quite a bit done today as you can see. They nearly finished the entire back wall up to 8'. They should be done with the gable on the patio tomorrow. About this time, it was starting to cool off so I started work on the back of the house. I put up the cans in the soffit and hooked them up. I also put in the emergency light boxes and ran power to them. I put some light bulbs in and made sure they all worked. I also put some light bulbs in the patio lights and discovered that two of them for sure are not working. I probably have a bad connection. The one I am not sure on doesn't have a light bulb since I couldn't reach it on the scaffolding. I finished up and got home right at 10:00pm. |
